About the role

The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our ProServe Shared Delivery Team (SDT) at Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Responsibilities

  • Build and manage a high-performing team of Delivery Consultants
  • Collaborate with Delivery Consultants, Engagement Managers, Account Executives, and Cloud Architects to deploy solutions and provide input on new features
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of innovative, forward-looking IT strategies for customers
  • Manage practice P&L, ensuring on-time and within-budget delivery of customer engagements
  • Drive business development initiatives and exceed customer satisfaction targets

Requirements

  • 8+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting, or 3+ years of people leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • 7+ years of experience in SAP Technical or Functional areas

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field
  • AWS certification
  • Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks
  • Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership

Skills

  • Ability to translate technical concepts into business value for customers
  • Strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe team relationships
  • Experience integrating AWS cloud services with on-premise technologies (e.g., Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, HP, SAP)
  • Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships
  • Experience with communication, presentation, and negotiation
