About the role
The Amazon Web Services Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced Delivery Practice Manager (DPM) to join our ProServe North America Delivery team at Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Responsibilities
- Manage a team of ProServe Delivery Consultants while supporting AWS enterprise customers through transformative projects.
- Leverage IT and/or Management Consulting background to serve as a strategic advisor to customers, partners, and internal AWS teams.
- Build and manage a team of Delivery Consultants and/or Engagement Managers working with customers and partners to architect and implement innovative solutions.
- Routinely engage with Director, C-level executives, and governing boards, whilst being responsible for opportunity capture and driving engagement delivery.
- Work closely with partner teams; drive business development initiatives through thought leadership; provide portfolio guidance and oversight; and meet and exceed customer satisfaction targets.
- Understand and define business outcomes for customers by building trust, identifying applicable AWS Professional Services offerings, and creating proposals and SOW’s.
- Optimize team performance through implementing tailored people development plans, ensuring alignment to customer needs, and having the skills and capacity to address customer outcomes.
- Cultivate strong customer, Amazon Global Sales (AGS), and ProServe team relationships which enables exceptional business performance.
- Support sales through scoping technical requirements for an engagement, delivering engagements on time, within budget, and exceeding customer expectations.
- Hold the Practice total utilization goal and be responsible for optimizing team performance.
Requirements
- 8+ years of IT and/or Management Consulting, or 3+ years of people leadership experience.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math, or a related field.
- Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure.
- Experience leading application architecture/design/modernization projects, including cloud-based solutioning (AWS or equivalent), with AI and automation.
Qualifications
- Experience building and maintaining C-level client relationships.
- AWS Associate level certification or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
- Experience in project management including resource planning, managing schedules, reporting project status and prioritizing tasks.
- Experience managing P&L.
- Experience building strategic relationships with stakeholders, including communicating and collaborating across teams and functions.
- Experience identifying, developing, negotiating, and closing opportunities across a wide spectrum of customer engagement levels.
- Advanced technology degree or AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred.

Pay
Base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
Schedule
Hours are flexible to accommodate the needs of the customer and the team.
