About the role
Provide technical assistance as part of a team to develop and maintain clinical systems that meet internal and external clients' needs. Assist with the development of third-party vendor data for local and central labs. Provide leadership to the Clinical Data Programming department in technical expertise. Provide internal consulting services, including specifications and user needs analysis for complex project or client requirements. Assist with the development of databases for local, regional, or transnational use.
Responsibilities
- Create diversified vendor specifications for third-party vendor data transfer
- Plan and coordinate database design, development, implementation, maintenance, and user support of clinical systems
- Program, test, and document databases for third-party vendor data acquisition in accordance with programming standards and validation procedures
- Program database manipulation and transfers of data for internal and external clients
- Understand and comply with core operating procedures and working instructions
- Meet objectives as assigned and interact with the project team to organize timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
- Develop and maintain good communications and working relationships with CDM teams and clients
- May assist IT in developing and implementing new technologies
- May assist IT in testing and evaluating new upgrades to technologies
- Provide technical expertise in conjunction with internal and external clients
- May assist in developing, revising, and maintaining core operating procedures and working instructions
- May interact with corporate team and CDM team members to negotiate timelines, responsibilities, and deliverables
- May serve as Lead Programmer on the corporate team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer/Life Science or related field required; equivalent combination of education, training, and experience in lieu of degree required
- Working knowledge of a relational database, electronic data capture, and/or other relevant data management technologies
- Good knowledge of SAS/SQL/Python tools
- Good conceptual, organizational, and communication skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients
Pay
$84,600.00 - $211,600.00 annualized, based on factors including knowledge, skills, education, experience, location, and/or schedule. Incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may also be offered.
