About the role
Our team is committed to providing senior National Security leaders with decision-worthy data and analysis to improve the effectiveness of Intelligence systems supporting DoW Warfighters. The team is building mission-critical intelligence workflows to produce decision advantage for the Office of the Under Secretary of War for Intelligence and Security, OUSW(I&S).
Responsibilities
- Apply data engineering and software development skills to develop analytic tools, deliver mission support services and create data visualization capabilities
- Wrangle, clean, analyze and display data in decision support tools for senior leaders within the Department of War
- Leverage open-source scripting and data visualization tools
- Leverage graph databases and platforms to deliver analytics
Qualifications
- US Citizen with active TS/SCI clearance or show immediate eligibility according to DISS security database (SCI within last 2 years)
- Bachelor's Degree, preferably in STEM fields
- 7+ years of experience applying data engineer or software development skills to develop analytic tools, deliver mission support services and create data visualization capabilities
- 5+ years of experience using programming languages (e.g. Python, JavaScript, Java, Visual Basic for Applications, R) to deliver data engineering and/or software development services
- 1+ years of experience leveraging graph databases and platforms to deliver analytics
Preferred qualifications
- Master's Degree, preferably in STEM fields
- 5+ years of general experience in the military or intelligence community; exposure to ISR capabilities is highly desired
- 5+ years of experience with database development (e.g. MongoDB, PostgreSQL) or Web Development (e.g. JavaScript, React, Node.js)
- 5+ years of experience in leading data engineering or software development teams
- Experience and/or proficiency in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and/or Natural Language Processing
