Sr. Data Engineer

About the role

Megazone Cloud is looking for a Senior Data Engineer to help lead and define our data-driven culture. You will architect, build, and lead scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines on AWS, define the data ecosystem, write and review critical code, collaborate and multiply within cross-functional teams, and embrace a "builder" mentality.

Responsibilities

• Arcitect, build, and lead scalable, high-performance data platforms and pipelines on AWS
• Drive the strategy for our data environment, leveraging Databricks and/or Snowflake to create powerful, efficient data models
• Develop clean, optimized, and automated solutions using Python and SQL
• Set the standard for code quality and mentor junior engineers
• Act as a key "force multiplier" within our cross-functional teams, leading ambiguous projects from conception to delivery
• Embrace a "builder" mentality and be flexible to solve diverse challenges

Requirements

• 5-8+ years of professional data engineering experience
• Deep, expert-level proficiency with Python
• Deep, expert-level proficiency with SQL
• Hands-on, expert-level experience with Databricks OR Snowflake (certifications or experience with both is a huge plus)
• Expert-level experience building and managing data solutions on AWS
• Proven ability to lead complex, ambiguous projects from conception to delivery
• Experience mentoring other engineers and helping to level up the team
• "Builder" mindset, a startup mentality, and a genuine thirst for knowledge
• Exceptional communication skills and the flexibility to think fast

Bonus Points

• Experience with GenAI, AI/ML frameworks, and MLOps
• Certifications in Databricks, Snowflake, or AWS
