Sr Data Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Data Engineer with extensive experience in building scalable data pipelines and ETL processes within cloud environments. This role focuses on developing robust data infrastructure using AWS, Snowflake, and modern data integration tools to support complex data ecosystems across multiple teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement efficient ELT and data pipeline solutions leveraging AWS, Snowflake, and DBT.
• Design and develop data integration architectures, including event-driven and batch processing workflows.
• Collaborate with Data Analysts, Data Architects, and Data Scientists to understand source data and define transformation requirements.
• Troubleshoot and optimize complex SQL queries and data workflows to ensure high performance and data quality.
• Develop and maintain data validation and quality assurance processes.
• Support data migration, deployment, and environment setup activities to streamline data operations.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering, ETL development, and data warehouse/data lake architecture.
• Advanced SQL skills with experience working with Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services such as EC2, S3, Lambda, SQS, and SNS.
• Proficiency with cloud data integration tools like AWS Glue, Matillion, Dell Boomi, Informatica Cloud, or similar.
• Experience with version control systems, particularly GitHub.
• Familiarity with modern data platforms including Spark, Hadoop, NoSQL, APIs, and streaming technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

• Programming experience with Python, Java, or Scala is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Knowledge of data management best practices and metadata tools.
• Experience with scripting languages and data orchestration.
