Job Description
- 8 years of experience within financial services and/or IT function in a large matrixed multinational organization
- Proven track record in supporting transformation and change
- The ability to connect the dots to the organizational priorities
- Experience in system analysis and writing business and functional specifications
- Demonstrated track record of collaboration across multiple disparate internal business groups
- Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills to proactively address business questions
- The ability to understand trade-offs and impacts across business and technology processes to cultivate a no surprises approach
- Able to manage multiple projects and priorities across teams and work effectively under pressure in a rapidly changing environment
- A strategic analytical and systematic thinker who consistently challenges the status quo and constructively challenges the team to drive change and continuous improvement
- A strong team player with the ability to lead partners and negotiate with cross-functional teams and across organizational boundaries to successfully deliver client needs
- Experience with the data flow and metadata through interconnected applications
- To support capture, organization, movement, transformation, storage, and consumption of data
- To address inconsistencies in data and resolve data quality issues
- To understand technical infrastructure including application operations
- To have a strong technical background including software programming using tools such as SQL, Java, Scala, or Python
- To have experience with Big Data tooling such as Spark, Hadoop, and data visualization tools
- To experience working with Cloud based data warehouse systems such as Snowflake on AWS or GCP will be a plus
- To work with cross-functional teams to drive process improvements by performing in-depth review of current state vs target state data architecture and proposing modifications or reengineering initiatives that simplify the data ecosystem and maximize the value of our data assets throughout the data lifecycle from creation, acquisition, storage, consumption, and disposition
- To work closely with the business teams to understand the requirements in detail
- To partner with technology functions to formulate consumable technical requirements and define scope and objectives of each initiative
- To develop conceptual designs and gain buy-in from business product owners and technology delivery teams for all intakes including maintenance projects
- To work with ITPM and technology delivery teams to come up with estimates for projects with a goal towards process simplification and adherence to the target state per the new Data Operating Model
- To provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions, and influence strategic functional decisions
- To contribute to continuous iterative exploration of design and delivery performance and other measures to gain insight and drive intake process optimization and capacity planning
- To provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of information in complicated, unique, and dynamic situations, drawing on diverse range of internal and external sources
