Accountabilities
As a Senior Data Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing complex datasets, developing analytical solutions, and partnering with business teams to improve decision-making. You will help evolve analytics capabilities from traditional reporting toward proactive insights and data-driven opportunities.
- Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights that support strategic business decisions.
- Develop automated dashboards and reporting solutions using data visualization tools to improve accessibility and reduce manual reporting efforts.
- Partner with business leaders and cross-functional teams to understand objectives and provide actionable recommendations.
- Transform descriptive analytics into proactive insights that identify opportunities for operational and business improvements.
- Design and maintain data models while ensuring accuracy, consistency, and integrity across multiple data sources.
- Apply statistical analysis and machine learning techniques to address complex business challenges.
- Collaborate with engineering, IT, product, and business stakeholders to improve data pipelines and collection processes.
- Work with healthcare claims data to uncover meaningful insights related to medical and pharmacy information.
- Quickly understand new datasets and translate findings into clear recommendations for different audiences.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to building a strong data-driven culture across the organization.
- Stay current with analytics trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in business intelligence.
Requirements
The ideal candidate is an experienced data professional with strong analytical capabilities, technical expertise, and the ability to communicate insights effectively. You should be comfortable working with large datasets, collaborating with stakeholders, and translating complex information into business recommendations.
- Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or another quantitative discipline.
- 5+ years of experience in analytics, data management, business intelligence, or a related field.
- Experience working with healthcare claims data, including medical and pharmacy claims.
- Strong proficiency in SQL for querying, analyzing, and managing large datasets.
- Experience with data visualization tools such as Looker, Tableau, or Power BI.
- Strong understanding of data modeling, statistical analysis, and data visualization principles.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R for analytics, automation, and data processing.
- Familiarity with cloud-based data platforms such as Snowflake, Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or Azure.
- Knowledge of healthcare data standards, including diagnosis codes, procedure codes, and common claims formats, is preferred.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Excellent data storytelling skills and the ability to translate insights into actionable business recommendations.
- Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Experience using AI-enabled analytics tools and modern technologies to improve workflows is a plus.
- Master's degree or advanced certification in a quantitative field is preferred.
