Responsibilities

• Create, review, and enforce security policies and procedures that adhere to DOD regulations and industry best practices.
• Work closely with network engineers and system engineers on the identification of vulnerabilities on all network assets, including but not limited to Windows, Unix, and Network devices.
• Oversee and assist system administrators with interpretation, remediation, and hardening of systems to comply with DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs).
• Support customer Information System Security Manager in maintaining the system’s Authority to Operate (ATO) by evaluating NIST controls in both a FISMA Moderate and High Environment.
• Develop and participate in Contingency Planning (CP) and Incident Response (IR) testing, planning, and execution.
• Perform risk assessments to identify potential security threats and develop appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Scan, patch, remediate, provide mitigation strategies, and document security vulnerabilities in operating systems and applications.
• Assist and lead security audits.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Systems Engineering, Information Technology or related field, or experience equivalent with 10+ years of relevant work experience.
• Security+ Certification.
• CISSP or similar DODM 8140 IAM Level II qualification (e.g., CISM, CASP+ CE, etc.).
• Experience leading Cybersecurity/Information Security audits.
• Thorough understanding of cyber threats, information security, and monitoring & detection using the latest monitoring tools.
• Experience configuring Elastic stack and ACAS (Tenable) scans and dashboards.
• Position requires some travel to Colorado Springs and Boulder.
• Active Top Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S, etc.) and their associated common attack vectors.
• Knowledge of/experience with space mission systems.
• Experience working in Department of Defense or with Department of Defense or Federal contracts.

Pay

Salary range $135,000-$155,000.
