Join an independent R&D company as a skilled electrician to install, maintain, and repair experimental electrical equipment to aid in solving national security problems. Receive an additional $500.00 in your first paycheck (minus applicable taxes).
Role Objectives
- Verify all work complies with NEC codes, LOTO and electrical safety requirements.
- Read blueprints and schematics for troubleshooting and repair.
- Work with 3-phase motors, standby generator power install, and UPS systems.
- Interface with engineers and managers to plan new layouts and installation of test equipment and electrical components.
Responsibilities
- Maintain shop inventory and assist with restocking and placing orders to electrical distribution centers.
- Work on a variety of projects and/or current challenges in designing, installing, and maintaining electrical equipment.
- Work well in a team setting and independently, staying organized with tasking while on travel for work assignments.
- Assist with project tasking and field test setup.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Licensed Texas Electrician - Wireman or Journeyman.
- 5+ years of experience as a Residential or Commercial Apprentice, Wireman, or Journeyman Electrician.
- 2+ years of experience troubleshooting electrical circuits, lights, relays, and contactors.
- Familiar and knowledgeable in the use of a voltmeter, motor rotation tester, and megger.
- 2+ years of experience working with EMT, RMC, IMC, and able to bend conduit.
- 3+ years of experience installing electrical panels, transformers, and wire termination.
- Valid/clear driver’s license.
