About the role

Supermicro Computer Inc. is seeking an experienced Cost Control Analyst to provide accurate pricing for new and existing products by working closely with internal teams. The Cost Control Analyst will work with the sales team to achieve the best pricing to close deals. This position is part of the operations team based in the Supermicro headquarters in San Jose, CA.

Responsibilities

  • Manage workload for multiple departments across functions
  • Forecasts, controls, and reports project costs needed within an organization
  • Develops and provides project variances, trending, and analysis of expenditures, and completion reports
  • Provides forecasting guidance and projects for assigned projects
  • Performs overhead, contract administration, and budget management processes including monthly preparation and presentation
  • Aids customers with cost versus capital decision-making
  • Prepares or reviews complex standard cost for Motherboard, Chassis, server system product and drives efficiency improvement and cost reduction plans
  • Oversees the development of product cost for various components, systems, and modules and coordinates with internal resources to generate automatic standard cost system and database

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Supply Chain, Engineering, or a related field with a Master’s degree preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in pricing, product costing, BOM costing, or cost analysis
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Purchasing, Operations, Supply Chain, or related functions
  • Exposure to supplier sourcing processes is a plus
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills as well as time management and prioritization abilities
  • Experience with coordinating with Sales, Operations, Purchasing, and Logistics to optimize business model, cost structure, and pricing
  • PC or server hardware experience and knowledge is a plus
  • Familiarity with PCB/PCBA cost structures, component costing, or manufacturing processes is also a plus
  • Ability to multi-task and cross-function between administrative, operations, and sales/client contract

Qualifications

Pay

The salary range for this position is $115,000 - $148,000. The salary offered will depend on several factors, including location, level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience, and comparison to other employees in this role.

Schedule

This position requires regular in-office attendance. The successful candidate is expected to be present in the office during standard working hours as determined by the company. In-office collaboration and participation in team meetings, training sessions, and other on-site activities are essential aspects of this role.
