Sr. Corporate Accountant

About the role

A growing manufacturing company in the East Haven area is looking to add a strong accounting and finance professional to their team! This role offers a great blend of accounting, financial analysis, reporting, and hands-on operational support with strong visibility across the organization.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all financial transactions.
• Perform bank reconciliations to maintain proper financial records.
• Manage month-end closing procedures and prepare financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Provide insights and reports to assist in financial decision-making processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of progressive accounting experience within manufacturing, contracting, or related industries.
• Strong understanding of debits/credits and core accounting fundamentals.
• Experience with manufacturing accounting and operational reporting.
• Comfortable wearing multiple hats in a hands-on environment.
• Strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Public accounting, insurance accounting, investment accounting, fund accounting, or financial services experience preferred.

Skills

• General ledger knowledge.
• Sound judgment.
• Ability to manage accounting tasks with accuracy and consistency.
