Role Summary

The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the financial close process, managing fixed assets accounting, performing accruals and reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements. This role plays a key part in enhancing operational efficiency through process improvements and leveraging AI-driven tools and automation where appropriate. The Senior Accountant partners cross-functionally and provides mentorship to junior team members while supporting audit and special project initiatives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Participation in financial close process by preparing & reviewing journal entries and analyzing results.
  • Identify opportunities to leverage automation, AI tools, and data analytics to improve workflows and reporting accuracy.
  • Manage fixed asset lifecycle including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
  • Maintain fixed asset subledger and ensure proper reconciliation to the general ledger.
  • Review capital expenditures for appropriate accounting treatment.
  • Perform account reconciliations to verify accuracy and completeness.
  • Analyze business processes for effectiveness, efficiency, and compliance with corporate policy/procedures, as well as state and federal regulatory authorities.
  • Analyze internal accounting controls and policies and implement changes and process improvements as needed.
  • Provide support to senior level management on special projects as assigned.
  • Support external and internal audit function to ensure successful audit results and compliance.
  • Train and mentor junior staff.

Minimum Qualifications

  • 7+ years’ experience in accounting, financial reporting, and/or auditing.
  • Bachelor's degree, concentration in accounting preferred.
  • Experience with US GAAP Accounting.
  • Strong experience with fixed assets, accruals, and full-cycle close.
  • Experience applying AI, automation, or data analytics to improve accounting efficiency, reduce manual tasks, and enhance financial insights.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Big 4 public accounting experience.
  • CPA or on CPA track.

Salary Pay Range

$86,625 - $127,050 USD
