Sr. Controls Technician – Building Automation

Responsibilities

• Install, program, and commission BAS/DDC systems for new construction and retrofit projects
• Troubleshoot and service control systems at customer sites
• Verify system performance and ensure sequences meet project specifications
• Develop and implement control programs, databases, and graphics
• Complete commissioning documentation and maintain accurate as-built records
• Cookordinate with subcontractors and internal teams to support project execution
• Provide technical support, training, and follow-up for end users
• Assist HVAC technicians with controls-related issues in the field
• Mentor junior technicians and contribute to team development
• Identify service opportunities and support ongoing customer relationships

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of experience working with BAS / HVAC controls systems
• Strong understanding of HVAC equipment and control sequences
• Experience with platforms such as Tridium Niagara (N4/AX), Distech, or similar
• Ability to troubleshoot, program, and commission DDC systems
• Comfortable working directly with customers and in the field
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Valid driver’s license

Qualifications

• Nice to have: Technical degree or formal training in HVAC, electronics, or controls
• Experience with multiple BAS platforms or OEM systems

Skills

• Technical knowledge of HVAC controls systems
• Experience with Tridium Niagara (N4/AX), Distech, or similar platforms
• Ability to troubleshoot, program, and commission DDC systems
• Strong problem-solving and attention to detail skills
• Customer service and fieldwork experience
