Sr. Contracts Manager

The Sr. Contracts Manager will support the Integrated Defense business with close to $1B in programs. This individual is a member of a dynamic Contracts team that delivers mission-critical capabilities for the Strategic Systems Program and other IDS Programs. The Contracts organization serves as the trusted business partner, managing customer relationships, negotiating deals, creating innovative solutions, and providing regulatory knowledge.

Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and guidance for Contract Administrators, acting as a sponsor and coach for daily contractual activities, including guidance on contractual/business issues and assistance in preparing proposals, negotiations, and drafting contract terms.
- Grow and develop other Contract Administrators and Contract Managers through leadership.
- Champion strategic knowledge of the customer environment and business context for all contracting opportunities.
- Independently lead and manage proposal activities, including analysis of solicitations, developing strategies and recommendations, preparing terms and conditions, leading the development of cost volumes and contracts documentation, reviewing technical and pricing proposals for accuracy and compliance, and conducting business risk assessments.
- Lead and support fact-finding and audit activities.
- Influence contract changes to reduce business impacts.
- Lead complex negotiations with an emphasis on creating win-win outcomes.
- Serve as a trusted business advisor to Strategic Systems management for contractual rights, obligations, risk mitigation, and business strategy, ensuring all contractual arrangements offer the company a reasonable probability of achieving business objectives.
- Foster and maintain relationships with customer counterparts and internal functions within BAE Systems.
- Oversee management of multiple contract types, such as Firm Fixed Price, Cost Plus Fixed Fee, Time and Material, Cost Plus Incentive Fee, and Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity.
- Maintain an in-depth knowledge and working understanding of the U.S. government acquisition and procurement environment, export regulations, and FAR/DFAR requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with Intellectual Property.
- Experience with Commercial Contracts.
- Experience with Other Transactional Agreements.
- Experience identifying risk and implementing strategies to reduce it.
- Experience with complex contracts.
- Experience with all types of pricing activities (Whitepapers, Rough Orders of Magnitude, Competitive and Sole Source Proposals).
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $134,640 – $228,888. Individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors, including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
