Sr. Consumer Loan Specialist - Sales Customer Service

Responsibilities
- Originate new loan business with new and existing customers.
- Evaluate customer needs and recommend suitable consumer loan and voluntary product solutions.
- Complete loan applications, proposals, and offers for new borrowers; follow up with pending applicants.
- Explain the loan process, products, and processing to potential borrowers.
- Address customer concerns and collaborate with management on strategies for potential problem loans.
- Close loans, assemble loan folders, and manage file documentation.
- Meet or exceed loan goals consistently.
- Service a growing, complex consumer loan portfolio with analytical problem-solving.
- Build trust with customers and staff by embodying company values, policies, and compliance standards.
- Process insurance claims, follow-ups, and payments daily; maintain an insurance log.
- Provide excellent customer care through daily transactions, inquiries, and issue resolution.
- Adhere to corporate, legal, and regulatory compliance policies and guidelines.
- Answer incoming calls and manage branch voicemail.
- Assist the Branch Manager with operational tasks such as daily initialization, preparing deposits, and importing live checks.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a goal-oriented, incentive-based sales role.
- 1+ years of experience in the consumer finance industry preferred.
- Professional demeanor, positive attitude, and strong communication and customer relations skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a dedicated team.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage priorities effectively.
- Proficiency with Windows and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance.
- Willingness to comply with employment credit checks, background checks, and drug screening.
- Eligibility for insurance licensing to sell voluntary insurance products (eligibility determined by state department of insurance background check).
