We are looking for a Sr. Consultant to join our team in Houston, Texas in a Contract to Permanent capacity. This role is ideal for a technically strong advisor who can guide clients on endpoint devices, server infrastructure, and software solutions while helping shape practical recommendations that align with business needs.
About the role
The position works closely with pre-sales teams and vendor partners to support solution planning, product selection, and successful delivery. We welcome candidates who are motivated to expand their expertise through industry certifications and continued development.
Responsibilities
- Advise clients on appropriate technology options for end-user equipment, including laptops, docking stations, and related hardware based on operational requirements.
- Assess infrastructure needs and recommend server, hardware, and software solutions that support client environments and long-term objectives.
- Partner with pre-sales colleagues to translate customer needs into well-aligned technical recommendations and solution proposals.
- Coordinate with manufacturers, distributors, and other vendor contacts to confirm product fit, availability, and implementation considerations.
- Oversee the delivery of approved solutions to help ensure sold products and services are deployed accurately and on schedule.
- Conduct technical research to stay informed on emerging products, platform updates, and industry best practices relevant to client offerings.
- Support solution design activities involving areas such as cloud services, Active Directory, and core IT operations when needed.
- Contribute technical insight during compliance, audit, or standards-related discussions tied to client hardware and software environments.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience advising on PC hardware, endpoint devices, servers, and associated business software.
- Working knowledge of IT operations, system design principles, and infrastructure planning for client-facing environments.
- Familiarity with technologies such as Active Directory, cloud computing platforms, and Cisco-based solutions.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with pre-sales teams, external vendors, and client stakeholders throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Strong analytical and research skills with the ability to evaluate product options and recommend practical technical solutions.
- Understanding of audit, compliance, or internal control considerations within technology environments.
- Solid business communication skills and proficiency with standard workplace tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Interest in pursuing industry certifications to strengthen product knowledge and support ongoing growth.
