About the role

The Senior Construction Project Manager will manage all aspects of multi-million dollar construction/refrigeration/controls projects portfolio. They will have direct responsibility for project financials, administration, implementation, management, and customer satisfaction. They will lead the project team through all facets of the project and is the established point of contact for stakeholders, supporting project development efforts to scope total solutions.

Responsibilities

• Support sales functions by assisting with quote preparation, project development, and proposals.
• Validate project scope, cost, and schedule by reviewing contract documents, attending pre-bid validation meetings, holding internal meetings, and establishing customer expectations.
• Responsible for change order management by identifying opportunities, recommending solutions, facilitating quotes, utilizing pricing strategies, and closing orders to provide total solutions across business streams.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by supporting company initiatives, building customer relationships, investigating concerns, implementing corrective actions, and developing communication plans with both internal and external stakeholders to provide timely project updates.
• Utilize properly qualified subcontractors, oversee subcontractor RFQ process, award subcontracts, manage subcontractor execution, collaborate with subcontractors to establish communication guidelines for project progress, project meetings, billing expectations, project safety, and foster professional relationships with subcontractors.
• Financially manage all aspects of projects including cash flow, monthly forecasted cost/revenue, forecasted cost at completion, monitoring expenses, collections support, applied cost, buy-out plans, and oversee preparation and communications for monthly backlog review with leaders.
• Create and maintain project schedules generating tasks, dependencies, milestones, critical path, resource assignments, identify future planning needs and resource constraints, and collaborate with Controls PM to establish project task communications for project progress and review of plans/specifications and control submittals.
• Lead all aspects of project administration including responsibility for knowledge of and adherence to contract penalty clauses and/or liquidated damages, analyzing reporting to identify project deficiencies and provide guidance on corrective actions, managing projects to business compliance, project documentation, safety guidelines, and maneuvering through governing agencies requirements at the state, city, county, federal, and local levels.

Requirements

• Advanced understanding of the development phase related to construction energy projects and opportunities, knowledgeable on all construction systems and technologies.
• Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, ability to mentor other project managers, aptitude to influence without authority, organizational expertise, strong verbal and written communication skills, and ability to successfully lead a project team.
• 7+ years of experience.
• Ability to obtain a General Contracting license is a plus.
• Experience with Project Schedules/PM Construction Software.
• Ability to travel 25% to 50% of the time.

Pay

Annual base salary range: $75,700.00 - $135,834.99. Compensation is salary-based and incentive-eligible. The actual compensation will depend on factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
