Sr. Construction Inspector
What You Will Do
GFT is seeking a Sr. Construction Inspector to join our Construction Services team in St. Louis, MO! This role follows a hybrid work model, requiring regular attendance at our St. Louis, MO office.

What You’ll Be Challenged To Do

- This role inspects and oversees construction work to ensure that results, procedures and materials comply with plans and specifications.
- This role will serve as a daily point of contact with clients and contractors, and manage all aspects of a project including construction observations, material testing and maintaining documentation.
- In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- Measure distances to verify accuracy of dimensions of structural installations and layouts.
- Verify levels, alignment, and elevation of installations.
- Observe work in progress to ensure that procedures followed, and materials used conform to specifications.
- Prepare samples of materials for laboratory testing.
- Examine workmanship of finished installations for conformity to standard and approves installation.
- Interpret plans and specifications for Contractor and discuss deviations from specified construction procedures to ensure compliance with regulations governing construction.
- Record quantities of materials received or used during specified periods, develop pay estimates and change orders.
- Maintain daily log of construction and inspection activities and compare progress reports.
- Monitor several types of work activity, however not simultaneously.
- Maintain construction safety practices and work methods for compliance.
