About the role
We are seeking an experienced Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our global cloud team. This individual will maintain cloud-based platforms and solutions for our clients in a cloud-first, multi-cloud environment with a strong focus on automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop, operate, and continuously improve the KION Azure Cloud Environment to guarantee system availability and keep services running.
- Assist in configuring and fixing Azure Resources.
- Maintain and deploy Kubernetes infrastructure and resources within our cloud providers.
- Collaborate with FinOps to optimize cost and spend of cloud resources.
- Compose and update scripts using PowerShell and other languages.
- Monitor for and triage failures within Kubernetes and Cloud Environments.
- Support product teams with knowledge of cloud and container services.
- Act proactively by self-initiating projects and ensuring efficiency.
- Respond to help desk tickets and tasks.
- Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.

Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field.
- 7 years of experience with infrastructure and services in public and private cloud environments (Azure is a must, GCP is helpful).
- At least 3 years of Kubernetes experience.
- Good knowledge of the administration of Windows or Linux operating systems.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools and deployment processes (e.g., Ansible, Azure DevOps Pipelines).
- Practical experience with Infrastructure-as-Code and all cloud delivery models (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS).
- Knowledge of shell scripting (PowerShell, CLI, or Bash) and innovative cloud technologies for automation.
- Experience with monitoring or log aggregation tools (e.g., SolarWinds, Azure Monitor) is an advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Growth mindset, self-organization, and curiosity about taking ownership and finding the best solution with the team.
- Ability to work in a distributed (global) team.

Pay
The base pay range for this role is estimated to be $100,500 - $147,400 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills.
