Sr Cloud Administrator

We are seeking a senior cloud professional to lead the design, implementation, and administration of a highly mature Microsoft Azure environment for a premier global law firm. This hybrid role, based in Greenville, South Carolina, bridges the gap between architectural strategy and hands-on operational execution.

About the role

You will collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into secure, scalable, and resilient Azure cloud solutions. Approximately 80% of your time will be dedicated to architecture and design, with the remaining 20% focused on hands-on cloud operations.

Responsibilities

• Automate routine infrastructure tasks and build reliable deployments utilizing PowerShell, Azure CLI, Bicep, or ARM templates.
• Lead enterprise tenant management, identity services via Active Directory, role-based access control, and subscription architectures.
• Configure and monitor backup, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions, including Azure Site Recovery.
• Implement comprehensive monitoring and alerting using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Sentinel.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure-related incidents and ensure compliance with strict security standards and policies.

Requirements

• 7+ years of general IT experience with 3 to 5 years dedicated to Azure best practices, multi-subscription architecture, and administration.
• Proven track record of designing and operating production workloads in Azure at an enterprise scale.
• Deep expertise in Azure services including IaaS, PaaS, Networking, and Security.
• Strong proficiency in Infrastructure as Code scripting and automation, specifically using PowerShell, Bicep, ARM templates, or Terraform.
• Solid understanding of Azure networking concepts such as VNets, NSGs, and ExpressRoute.
• Ability to work a hybrid schedule, requiring 1 to 2 days onsite per week in the Greenville, SC office or within a reasonable driving radius.

Nice-to-Haves

• Hands-on experience with DevOps tools including CI/CD pipelines and GitHub Actions.
• Familiarity with data and analytics platforms like Snowflake or Power BI.
• Experience with SolarWinds monitoring or Veeam backup configurations.
• Microsoft Certifications such as Azure Solutions Architect Expert or Azure Administrator Associate.

Pay

$125,000 - 135,000 per year

Schedule

8am to 5pm, hybrid (1 to 2 days onsite per week in Greenville, SC).
