About the role
Piper Companies is seeking a Senior Clinical Research Associate (CRA) to support a company focused on advancing clinical research within the oncology space. This position is remote, with 8–10 days of on-site travel per month within the assigned region. The Senior Clinical Research Associate will oversee monitoring activities across clinical trial sites, ensuring compliance, data integrity, and patient safety. This is an opportunity to take ownership of high-impact oncology studies while driving quality and regulatory excellence across sites. Candidates must live in Pacific Standard Time.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site and remote monitoring visits, ensuring adherence to protocol, GCP, and regulatory requirements
- Manage site relationships, including issue escalation, conflict resolution, and performance oversight
- Review and verify clinical data, including source documentation, EDC entries, and key performance metrics (DOS, TMS timelines, report turnaround)
- Identify and resolve site issues, including protocol deviations, CAPAs, and systemic vs. isolated concerns
- Ensure investigational product (IP) accountability and perform reconciliation, including discrepancy resolution
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience with on-site monitoring as a Clinical Research Associate
- Strong oncology expertise, including knowledge of RECIST, ECOG performance status, CTCAE grading, and dosing concepts
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and support multiple sponsors simultaneously
- Bachelor's degree in Life Sciences, Nursing, or a related field
Compensation
- Salary Range: $120,000 – $180,000 depending on experience
