About the Role

SS&C is seeking a Sr. Client Technology Consultant to join the Black Diamond Wealth Solutions Service organization. This newly created role will lead the transformation of our client service organization by investing in technology, automation, and AI to create a more scalable, proactive, and exceptional client experience. The Client Technology Consultant serves as a strategic technology advisor to both clients and internal teams, identifying opportunities to improve workflows, automate manual processes, and leverage AI for better operational efficiency and client outcomes.

The ideal candidate is comfortable facilitating discovery sessions with client executives, consulting on operational improvements, building AI-powered automations, and partnering with technical teams to bring innovative ideas to life.

Responsibilities

  • Client Technology Consulting
    • Serve as a trusted technology advisor to clients, helping them optimize operational workflows and maximize the value of the Black Diamond platform.
    • Conduct discovery sessions with clients to understand business processes, operational challenges, and opportunities for automation.
    • Recommend AI-enabled solutions, workflow improvements, and best practices to enhance efficiency, scalability, and client experience.
    • Partner with Client Advocates, Relationship Managers, and Implementation teams to identify strategic consulting opportunities.
    • Deliver presentations, demonstrations, and consultative recommendations on emerging technologies and automation capabilities.
  • AI & Automation
    • Identify opportunities to automate manual workflows across client environments and internal Client Experience teams.
    • Design, build, test, and maintain AI-enabled workflows and automation solutions using modern platforms and low-code/no-code technologies.
    • Evaluate emerging AI tools and technologies to improve productivity, operational efficiency, and client experience.
    • Develop reusable automation solutions for multiple clients and internal teams.
  • Business Process Improvement
    • Analyze client and internal workflows to identify opportunities for simplification, automation, and continuous improvement.
    • Partner with business leaders to document current and future-state processes.
    • Lead continuous improvement initiatives using AI, automation, and operational best practices.
    • Establish success metrics and measure the impact of technology initiatives.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner closely with Client Service, Implementation, Operations, Product Management, Engineering, and other stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions.
    • Influence product strategy by identifying recurring client challenges and recommending enhancements.
    • Pilot new technologies and support enterprise adoption across Client Experience.
    • Educate and coach clients and internal teams on AI tools, automation capabilities, and technology best practices.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated curiosity and enthusiasm for applying technology, AI, and automation to solve business problems and enhance client outcomes.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 5-7+ years of experience in financial services, wealth management technology, fintech, or a related industry.
  • Experience leveraging AI tools and automation technologies to improve business processes or enhance client experiences.
  • Ability to analyze complex business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend scalable technology solutions.
  • Strong consultative and relationship management skills with the ability to engage confidently with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts clearly.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple initiatives in a fast-paced environment while collaborating across teams.
  • Self-motivated with a strong customer focus and passion for driving better business outcomes through technology.

Qualifications

  • Experience implementing or supporting enterprise software platforms within financial services.
  • Background in Professional Services, Software Implementation, Client Success, Consulting, Business Analysis, or Solution Consulting.
  • Hands-on experience using AI platforms such as Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, Claude, Gemini, or other large language model technologies.
  • Experience designing or deploying AI assistants, copilots, prompts, or intelligent workflows to solve business problems.
  • Familiarity with APIs, systems integrations, Salesforce, Jira, SQL, or low-code/no-code development platforms.
  • Experience leading digital transformation, operational excellence, or process improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of the Black Diamond Wealth Platform or other wealth management technology solutions is preferred.
