This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available
Responsibilities
- Analyze and process complex medical malpractice claims with well-developed action plans
- Conduct full investigations and prepare detailed reports on new claims and legal actions
- Calculate and assign appropriate reserves for claims, ensuring adequacy throughout the claim's life
- Recommend and implement effective settlement strategies to maximize client outcomes
- Coordinate legal defense, assign attorneys, and monitor compliance with client guidelines
- Utilize cost containment techniques, establishing partnerships to lower claim costs
- Investigate fraud and recovery opportunities to decrease total claim expenditures
Requirements
- 6 years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
- Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited institution
- Licenses as required by law for specific roles
- Professional certification desirable specific to claims management
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills essential
