Sr. Claims Specialist, Professional Liability | Medical Malpractice | Long Term Care

This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and process complex medical malpractice claims with well-developed action plans
• Conduct full investigations and prepare detailed reports on new claims and legal actions
• Calculate and assign appropriate reserves for claims, ensuring adequacy throughout the claim's life
• Recommend and implement effective settlement strategies to maximize client outcomes
• Coordinate legal defense, assign attorneys, and monitor compliance with client guidelines
• Utilize cost containment techniques, establishing partnerships to lower claim costs
• Investigate fraud and recovery opportunities to decrease total claim expenditures

Requirements

• 6 years of claims management experience or equivalent education and experience
• Bachelor's degree preferred from an accredited institution
• Licenses as required by law for specific roles
• Professional certification desirable specific to claims management
• Strong analytical and negotiation skills essential

Pay

$100,000 – $120,000 annually
