About the Opportunity

The Sr Claims Business Analyst will step into a high-visibility, analytically rigorous role designed to serve as a primary functional architect for claims operations. This position takes hands-on ownership of diagnostic workflow analysis, process optimization, and system enhancement initiatives across the claims ecosystem. Acting as a vital strategic partner, the Senior Analyst translates complex operational pain points into elegant, technology-enabled solutions—directly driving claims processing efficiency, safeguarding data integrity, and elevating the end-to-end customer experience during critical moments of truth.

Responsibilities

  • Lead complex, deep-dive analyses of end-to-end claims workflows, transaction cycle times, and operational bottlenecks to design highly optimized, scale-ready target processes
  • Partner cross-functionally with senior claims leaders, product managers, and software engineers to elicit, analyze, and translate business needs into comprehensive Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) and technical specifications
  • Direct and support the implementation of core claims platform enhancements, claims-telematics integrations, and third-party technology software solutions
  • Monitor key claims performance indicators (KPIs) and operational trends continuously, translating raw data into structured dashboards and actionable business intelligence for executive leadership
  • Establish and maintain exhaustive process mapping, technical documentation, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user-acceptance testing (UAT) frameworks for claims operations
  • Serve as an active change agent, coordinating closely with training and change-management teams to ensure seamless operational adoption of new systems and policy updates

Requirements

  • A minimum of three (3) to five (5) years of proven professional experience as a Business Analyst or Systems Analyst, with a direct and deep-seated background in Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance claims environments
  • Advanced analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving capabilities, with a track record of transforming unstructured operational datasets into clear, data-driven business decisions
  • Strong technical familiarity with modern claims management systems (such as Guidewire, Duck Creek, or specialized proprietary claims applications) and Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies
  • Outstanding relationship-building and communication skills, demonstrating a natural ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to non-technical operational stakeholders and executive leadership
  • High level of proficiency in process mapping tools (such as Microsoft Visio or Lucidchart) and structured data query tools (such as SQL) is highly desirable

Pay Range and Compensation Package

The comprehensive salary structure for this senior-level advisory role will be determined dynamically based upon a holistic evaluation of the finalist's specialized claims expertise, geographic location, and years of direct business analysis experience. Total rewards portfolio combines a highly competitive baseline salary with structured corporate incentive plans, annual performance-based reviews, and a robust benefits program engineered to protect long-term personal and financial health.
