About the role
Solstice Advanced Materials is seeking a Senior Chemical Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in Geismar, Louisiana. Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, you will lead and shape groundbreaking projects, expand existing processes, and develop the next generation of Advanced Materials products.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a process safety resource on a team leading Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) and Risk Assessments by developing closure plans and strategies for identified risks
- Oversee production to ensure targets are met and track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), developing actions to address any detractors
- Lead and participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) investigations to identify and resolve issues
- Create and assist in the Management of Change (MOC) process to ensure safe and compliant operations
- Ensure adherence to environmental regulations and drive improvement projects for the unit
- Offer off-hours support for abnormal and non-routine operations, including unit turnarounds
- Organize and design plant testing procedures
- Influence others and drive toward solutions without direct authority
- Mentor and supervise three other process engineers, providing technical guidance and support for their professional growth
- Participate in Pre-FEED and FEED development for projects, including process scope and design solutions for growth, cost savings, and HSE projects
- Oversee the development of process models, heat and material balances, process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, layout, basic control schemes, and equipment specifications
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering
- Minimum of 5 years of process engineering experience in chemical plants
- Proven leadership and management skills
- Strong technical expertise in chemical engineering principles and practices
We value
- Minimum of 10 years of process engineering experience in chemical plants
- Experience working with advanced control strategies
- Demonstrated knowledge of engineering techniques to optimize manufacturing processes
- Demonstrated understanding of modelling software
- Six Sigma certification

Pay
The annual base salary for this position is $115,699-$144,624.
Schedule
This role operates on a 9/80 work schedule.
