About the role
Festival Foods is a Wisconsin grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. We operate over 40 full-service supermarkets across Wisconsin. This role is within the Center Store department.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Center Store, Wine & Spirits, and Receiving Operations
- Lead, coach, and develop Center Store associates
- Develop future leaders through training and mentoring
- Provide expertise in strategic planning and organization
- Enhance guest experience by setting high standards
- Oversee scheduling and inventory management
- Drive inventory and merchandising excellence
- Support cross-department collaboration and team-building
- Ensure compliance and safety standards are met
- Train new associates and foster a positive work environment
- Manage vendor relationships and inventory levels
- Support store operations as acting Store Director when needed
Qualifications
- At least 5+ years of leadership experience, preferably in retail or restaurant management
- Strong ability to coach, motivate, and develop teams
- Thorough knowledge of the retail food business, particularly in grocery or supermarket operations
- Prior experience managing a center store department is preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn and use various systems
- Understanding of store safety policies and ability to identify potential hazards
- Ability to learn and safely use equipment such as power jacks, walk-behind lifts, and other tools
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Standing for long periods
- Bending, stooping, and kneeling regularly
- Using fine finger and broad manual dexterity
- Operating equipment requiring eye-hand-foot coordination
- Lifting up to 50-60 pounds occasionally
- Moving between temperature-controlled areas and outdoor tasks
Work Schedule
The Center Store Senior Manager is a full-time position with a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
