About the role

Amazon's Worldwide Grocery Stores organization is seeking a Sr. Category Manager to join a team reshaping the grocery industry by meeting evolving customer needs. This role contributes to creating a seamless and convenient grocery shopping experience that helps customers save time and money, both online and in physical stores.

Responsibilities

  • Own the overall customer experience strategy for your category, setting strategic goals.
  • Lead the selection strategy and execution for your category.
  • Work alongside partner teams to deliver against key category goals and milestones.
  • Establish and grow vendor relationships; partner with vendors to improve customer experience and hold them accountable for operational performance.
  • Own the Trade Planning Strategy to drive category growth.
  • Act as the ‘business owner’ for your category, understanding internal and external variables that impact it.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and communicate with internal and external partners under tight deadlines.
  • Create a compelling category customer experience that raises the bar and drives engagement.
  • Analyze weekly and monthly performance metrics and manage stakeholder communication to hit key inputs and outputs.
  • Provide input on promotional activity, space allocation, pricing, productivity analysis, and forecasting.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Excel.
  • Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience.
  • Experience with business analysis and P&L management.
  • 5+ years of Category Management experience.
  • Retail industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience using data to influence business decisions.
  • Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams.
  • Grocery retail experience.

Pay

  • USA, TX, Austin: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually.
  • USA, VA, Arlington: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually.
  • USA, WA, Seattle: $121,200.00 - $163,900.00 USD annually.

Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and location.
