Join Us as Senior Casualty Adjuster – Field/Hybrid Role

Responsibilities

• Lead Investigations: Conduct on-site inspections, interview claimants and witnesses, and gather evidence to determine coverage and liability.
• Own the Outcome: Set loss reserves, negotiate settlements, control claim costs, and recommend litigation when appropriate.
• Apply Your Expertise: Interpret policies, endorsements, and client instructions to ensure accurate, compliant claim resolutions.
• Be a Trusted Partner: Collaborate with legal teams, regulators, clients, and contractors while mentoring junior adjusters as needed.

Qualifications

• College degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Previous experience as a claims adjuster or must have completed Crawford specified adjuster training if no experience.
• Extensive, substantive experience as a Claims Adjuster; preferred a minimum of 4 years prior claims experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and mathematical ability.
• Must be licensed as required by state and local jurisdictions.
• Outside adjusters must have a valid driver's license.
• Must complete continuing education requirements as outlined by Crawford Educational Services.
• A variable schedule including on-call may be required. Depending on case load you may be required to work beyond normal business hours when necessary.
• Travel may be required during/outside of normal business hours when necessary.
