As a Senior Manager of Business Analysis at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. Responsibilities

  • Strategic leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success amid shifting consumer and regulatory behavior.
  • Business ownership: Adopt an ownership mindset, potentially with P&L accountability for a business segment. Engage in strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon.
  • Leadership: Manage and develop a team of analysts. Coach and mentor associates across the organization to develop and retain talent.
  • Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for lending products. Lead product-level modeling and analytics.
  • Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and define strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
  • Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by analyzing future consumer credit trends, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses through rigorous monitoring.
  • Execution: Coordinate across business lines to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build requirements, and execute product strategy. Oversee multiple concurrent projects and programs.
  • Partnership: Work closely with IT, Sales, Operations, Finance, and other teams to improve quality, volume, service, and profitability.
  • Strategic & analytic orientation: Demonstrate a proven track record of data-driven decision-making and problem-solving, complemented by strong quantitative skills.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis
  • At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis
  • At least 1 year of experience performing people management
  • At least 1 year of experience performing project management

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering
  • 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis
  • 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis
  • 2+ years of experience in people management
  • 2+ years of experience in product development
  • 2+ years of experience in financial modeling
  • 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting
  • 2+ years of experience in project management
  • Previous consulting experience

Pay

The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours.

  • McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100
  • Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300
  • New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900
  • Chicago, IL: $182,500 - $208,300

Candidates hired in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
