As a Senior Manager of Business Analysis at Capital One, you will apply your strategic and analytical skills to major company challenges. Responsibilities
- Strategic Leadership: Develop business strategies that drive growth, profitability, and competitive success for Capital One amid shifting consumer and regulatory behavior.
- Business Ownership: Adopt an ownership mindset, potentially with P&L accountability for a business segment. Engage in strategic planning with a 1-6 month horizon.
- Leadership: Manage and develop a team of analysts. Coach and mentor associates across the organization to develop and retain talent.
- Product: Develop and implement new product and pricing strategies for various lending products. Lead product-level modeling and analytics.
- Marketing: Lead direct-to-consumer marketing efforts for select products and define strategic intent for products distributed through various channels. Build targeted insights to inform new customer experiences and breakthrough technology.
- Credit Risk: Drive step-change improvements in credit performance by connecting future consumer credit trends to historical behavior, creating risk models, and testing hypotheses using rigorous monitoring and analysis.
- Execution: Coordinate across the line of business to manage and sequence delivery of business intent, build business requirements, and execute against the product strategy. Oversee multiple projects and programs concurrently.
- Partnership: Work closely with colleagues across Capital One, including IT, Sales, Operations, and Finance, to drive improvements in quality, volume, service, and profitability.
Qualifications
- Strategic & Analytic Orientation: A proven track record of decision-making and problem-solving based on analytics. Strong conceptual thinking complemented by a rigorous quantitative orientation.
- Business Judgment & Leadership: A tenacious decision-maker with a healthy, aggressive, yet responsible approach to business. Ability to foster innovation, drive critical decisions, and hold business partners accountable.
- People Leadership: Experience building and leveraging high-performing teams and business partners across the enterprise.
- Executive Communication: Impeccable written and oral communication skills, coupled with strategic influencing and negotiation abilities.
- Results Orientation: Intense focus on achieving both short- and long-term goals. Ability to drive and execute an agenda in an uncertain and fluid environment.
- Successful track record of thriving in fast-paced, entrepreneurial, and dynamic environments. Previous consulting experience is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree.
- At least 3 years of experience performing quantitative analysis.
- At least 3 years of experience performing qualitative analysis.
- At least 1 year of experience in people management.
- At least 1 year of experience in project management.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Business or a quantitative field such as Finance, Economics, Physical Sciences, Math, Statistics, or Engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in quantitative analysis.
- 5+ years of experience in qualitative analysis.
- 2+ years of experience in people management.
- 2+ years of experience in product development.
- 2+ years of experience in financial modeling.
- 2+ years of experience in economic forecasting.
- 2+ years of experience in project management.
Pay
The minimum and maximum full-time annual salaries for this role are listed below by location. Salaries for part-time roles will be prorated based on agreed-upon hours. This role is also eligible for performance-based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonuses and/or long-term incentives (LTI).
- McLean, VA: $200,700 - $229,100
- Richmond, VA: $182,500 - $208,300
- New York, NY: $219,000 - $249,900
- Anytown, IL: $182,500 - $208,300
Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location.
