About the role
We are seeking a highly skilled Sr. Business Intelligence Engineer to help drive data-informed decision-making across a fast-paced, industry-leading digital supply chain organization. This role combines strong data engineering, advanced analytics, and visualization expertise to deliver scalable, high-impact BI solutions using modern tools and cloud platforms. This is a hybrid position requiring the candidate to report and work from the office at least three days a week. Interested candidates should be within a 50-minute radius from Temple, TX.
This position requires the ability to read, write, and understand English at a level sufficient to perform job-related tasks effectively and safely, including understanding work instructions, safety protocols, and communications essential to the role.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable BI solutions, dashboards, and data models.
- Transform complex data into actionable insights using Looker, Power BI, Tableau, and Cognos.
- Build and optimize data pipelines and workflows using Alteryx and Fabric.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to define KPIs, metrics, and reporting strategies.
- Leverage GCP to support data architecture, performance, and governance.
- Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and best practices across reporting environments.
- Drive continuous improvement in BI development, automation, and user experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field. (Master’s preferred)
- 5+ years of experience in Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, or Analytics roles.
- Strong experience with BI tools: Looker (LookML), Power BI, Tableau, Cognos.
- Hands-on experience with Alteryx, Microsoft Fabric, and GCP environments.
- Advanced SQL and data modeling expertise; Python experience preferred.
- Proven ability to translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
- Experience working in data engineering/BI environments with modern data stacks.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience in large-scale, enterprise or supply chain environments preferred.
