Key Responsibilities
- Elicit, analyze, and document business and functional requirements.
- Conduct Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and workflow analysis.
- Analyze existing business processes and identify process improvement opportunities.
- Create Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Requirements, User Stories, and Use Cases.
- Create wireframes, mockups, and visual prototypes following UX best practices.
- Translate business needs into clear, concise, and testable system requirements.
- Manage requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Utilize Jira and Modern Requirements for requirements management and change tracking.
- Support change management, requirements traceability, and backlog management.
- Collaborate with developers, QA teams, UX designers, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate requirement review sessions and stakeholder meetings.
- Mentor junior Business Analysts and promote business analysis best practices.
- Support testing activities by validating requirements and acceptance criteria.
- Prepare project documentation, reports, and knowledge transfer materials.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 12 years of Business Analysis experience.
- Extensive experience with Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Experience performing business process reengineering and process improvement.
- Minimum 8 years of experience designing wireframes and mockups using UX best practices.
- Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and organizational skills.
- Minimum 3 years of experience supporting a Texas Education Agency (TEA), Federal, State, or Local Education Agency, or Education Vendor.
- Hands-on experience using Atlassian Jira.
- Hands-on experience using Modern Requirements.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience supporting enterprise education systems.
- Experience leading requirements workshops.
- Experience mentoring Business Analysts.
- Experience working on large-scale software modernization projects.
- Experience supporting Agile software development teams.
