Sr. BI & Analytics Analyst
About the role
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Sr. BI & Analytics Analyst based in the United States. This is a high-impact analytics role focused on defining and scaling the organization’s Single Source of Truth for performance, profitability, and revenue attribution.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize complex SQL queries to process large-scale event and auction datasets across cloud platforms.
- Build and maintain a centralized data warehouse and data models that establish a reliable Single Source of Truth for core business metrics.
- Develop and manage Looker dashboards and LookML models to track signal performance, API activity, and customer behavior trends.
- Partner closely with Finance to define and analyze unit economics, revenue attribution, margins, LTV, CAC, and profitability metrics.
- Collaborate with Technology teams to monitor data pipelines, signal delivery, and system health using AWS logs and observability tools.
- Deliver actionable insights into performance drivers across channels and product lines for Business Units.
- Ensure data integrity, resolve discrepancies, and proactively address latency or quality issues impacting reporting or billing.
- Define and enforce analytics standards, documentation, and best practices to support governance and consistency across teams.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in business intelligence, data analytics, or data engineering roles working with large-scale datasets.
- Strong expertise in advanced SQL and experience querying complex, high-volume datasets in cloud environments.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, DataBricks, or similar modern data platforms.
- Proven experience building dashboards and semantic models in Looker (LookML) or leading BI platform migrations.
- Background working with event-driven, API, marketing, or streaming data systems.
- Strong understanding of business and financial metrics such as LTV, CAC, revenue attribution, and gross margin.
- Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Experience collaborating cross-functionally with Finance, Engineering, and Business teams in a senior-facing capacity.
- Strong communication, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills with attention to data accuracy and consistency.
- Experience mentoring analysts or helping define team-wide data standards is a strong plus.
