Sr. Benefits Business Partner
About the role
The Sr. Benefits Business Partner will support the development, execution, and optimization of programs and strategies focused on preventive care engagement, condition management, and healthcare outcomes. This role will help drive operational excellence across healthcare programs while identifying opportunities for innovation, integration, and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Support condition management and preventive care strategies that improve team member health outcomes and overall experience.
- Partner with healthcare vendors and internal stakeholders to support ongoing program operations, implementations, enhancements, and issue resolution.
- Identify opportunities to improve integration across navigation, preventive care, mental health, pharmacy, and condition management programs.
- Monitor healthcare program performance through reporting, trend analysis, utilization insights, and operational reviews.
- Identify opportunities to consolidate, enhance, or optimize vendor solutions to improve member experience, operational efficiency, and value realization.
- Support strategic sourcing, vendor selection, implementation, and governance activities to ensure best-in-class healthcare partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal and external analytics and internal partners to identify opportunities to improve engagement, affordability, quality, and health outcomes.
- Help support pilot programs, innovation initiatives, and healthcare transformation efforts.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements, operational efficiencies, and scalable ways of working.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support enterprise healthcare objectives.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare benefits, healthcare strategy, healthcare consulting, vendor management, or related healthcare fields.
- Knowledge of healthcare benefits, healthcare delivery systems, preventive care programs, or condition management solutions.
- Familiarity with healthcare analytics, healthcare trends, and vendor performance management.
- Ability to identify opportunities for innovation and continuous improvement.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working cross-functionally in complex organizations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in evolving environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience building relationships and influencing partners across teams.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in a related field (e.g., healthcare administration, public health, business administration).
- Professional certifications in healthcare benefits or related fields (e.g., Certified Healthcare Benefits Professional, Certified Benefit Consultant).
Skills
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Excellent project management and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in healthcare data analysis tools and software.
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners.

Pay
The pay range for this role is $73,000.00 - $132,000.00, based on several factors including labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications.
Schedule
This position operates as a Hybrid/Flex for Your Day work arrangement based on Target’s needs. This means the team member’s core role will need to be performed both onsite at the Target HQ MN location the role is assigned to and virtually, depending upon what your role, team, and tasks require for that day. Work duties cannot be performed outside of the country of the primary work location, unless otherwise prescribed by Target.
