Sr. Banner Programmer/Analyst

About the role

The SDSU Research Foundation (SDSURF) is a mission-driven organization supporting research at San Diego State University. This role is open until filled with the first review of candidates on May 13, 2026.

Responsibilities

• Build and Innovate: Design, code, and document custom applications, reports, and workflows using tools like Oracle PL/SQL and APEX.
• Keep the Engines Running: Help to configure and manage servers (like Tomcat and ORDS) and Linux environments.
• Secure our Digital Doors: Set up and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) using Azure Active Directory and digital certificates.
• Modernize our Technology: Assist with system upgrades, maintaining Banner code (using Java), and integrating fresh technologies.
• Solve Complex Puzzles: Dive into tricky technical issues related to system performance and data integrity.
• Bridge the Gap: Work closely with different departments to translate their business needs into secure, scalable tech solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
• Four years of related work experience, with preferred qualifications including proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Linux server administration, and SSO integrations.
• Experience with Oracle APEX, Banner Finance/HR modules, Banner 9 Admin Pages development, or API/JSON integrations is a plus.

The salary range for this position is $7,371.00 - $10,813.70 per month, depending on qualifications, and is non-negotiable.
