About the role

The SDSU Research Foundation (SDSURF) is seeking a skilled and innovative individual to join our Information Systems (IS) team. This role involves building and innovating custom applications, managing servers, securing digital access, and modernizing technology to support San Diego State University’s R1 research mission.

Responsibilities

  • Design, code, and document custom applications, reports, and workflows using tools like Oracle PL/SQL and APEX.
  • Configure and manage servers (like Tomcat and ORDS) and Linux environments to keep critical systems running smoothly.
  • Set up and manage Single Sign-On (SSO) using Azure Active Directory and digital certificates.
  • Aid in system upgrades and maintain Banner code (using Java).
  • Integrate fresh technologies and solve complex technical issues related to system performance and data integrity.
  • Work closely with different departments to translate their business needs into secure, scalable tech solutions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
  • Four years of related work experience, with preference for Oracle Certification.
  • High proficiency in Oracle SQL and PL/SQL, Linux server administration, and shell scripting.
  • Proven experience configuring and maintaining Ellucian Banner ERP systems and related servers.
  • Experience with Oracle APEX, Banner Finance/HR modules, Banner 9 Admin Pages development, or API/JSON integrations is a plus.

Pay

$7,371.00 - $10,813.70 per month, non-negotiable.

Schedule

Hybrid work schedule with at least two days in the office and three days remote.
