About the role
This position is responsible for developing and maintaining robust backend systems that power our cloud-native applications.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, high-performance backend systems using Java and other relevant technologies.
- Develop and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of backend components.
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure system reliability and performance.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous integration and delivery processes.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in backend development and cloud computing.
Requirements
- 7+ years of software development experience, with significant experience in backend or distributed systems development.
- Strong hands-on experience with Java and object-oriented design.
- Practical experience with AWS services and architecture.
- Experience with event-driven architecture and messaging platforms such as SQS, SNS, Kafka, or EventBridge.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Experience with microservices or distributed service-oriented systems.
- Strong understanding of software engineering best practices including testing, code reviews, and CI/CD.
- Experience working in Agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Strong problem-solving, debugging, and troubleshooting skills.
- Familiarity with security best practices, IAM, encryption, and secrets management.
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and configuration management tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

- BS/MS in Computer Science or related field.
