Sr. AV Consultant

About the role

Salas O’Brien is seeking a Senior AV Consultant to join our Technology team. The role involves working closely with the engineering team, project managers, and clients to identify needs and develop comprehensive audiovisual system designs.

Responsibilities

• Design, engineer, and assist with commissioning audiovisual and media technology systems.
• Work closely and collaboratively with others on the AV team and our clients to identify needs and develop comprehensive audiovisual system designs.
• Think outside the box to come up with creative, practical, technically feasible, and financially responsible solutions to our client's challenges.
• Produce AV system design documentation that includes line diagrams, specifications, cost estimates, and supporting documents.
• Perform field engineering tasks, including site surveys, comprehensive systems commissioning, sound system tuning, device configuration, and troubleshooting.

Qualifications and Experience

• Ten (10) to fifteen (15) years of experience—either as an AV consultant or design engineer.
• Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, and communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
• Experience in AV systems design including audio, video, control, and AV networking systems.
• Experience with and strong understanding of AV over IP platforms and video display technologies.
• Experience with audio DSP systems and modern AV control systems is required.
• Experience in creating and manipulating models and drawings/diagrams in AutoCAD and Revit. Experience in Revit preferred.
