Sr/Associate Staff Substation Physical Engineer

DPP is seeking a Sr/Associate Staff Substation Physical Engineer for a direct placement opportunity with our client in the engineering industry. Work Location: Duluth, GA Responsibilities: Deliver accurate designs of high-voltage electrical substation components that meet industry and client standards.Design substation systems and components including general arrangement, equipment layout, grounding, conduit, and bills of material.Prepare construction drawing packages for bids and review incoming submittals for alignment with design and constructability.Perform quality reviews of electrical engineering work for both peers and subcontractors.May act as Lead Engineer and Engineer of Record for assigned projects.May manage the development of project proposals, bid preparation, and project schedules.Assist project teams during construction on substation-related issues.Provide mentorship and technical guidance to less experienced engineers.Travel to client sites and field locations as necessary.Associate Staff Engineers are expected to demonstrate deeper technical leadership, broader project ownership, and increased mentorship responsibilities.Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET‐accredited university.Professional Engineer (PE) license required.In lieu of PE: +2 years of additional experience.Senior Engineer: 7+ years in substation physical design within utilities or the energy sector.Associate Staff Engineer: 12+ years in substation physical design within utilities or the energy sector.Experience with ETAP, WinIGS, and IEEE 80/998.Proficiency in Autodesk AutoCAD, Inventor software (2D/3D modeling experience is a plus).Strong communication and collaboration skills.Interested?
