Sr. Associate/Jr. Partner (Hybrid from any city where we have an office)

Responsibilities

• Provide legal analysis and advice to insurance carriers on a wide range of coverage issues.
• Handle all aspects of insurance coverage litigation, including declaratory judgment actions and bad faith claims.
• Participate in strategic case planning and risk assessment.
• Draft coverage opinions, pleadings, written discovery, motions, and participate in arbitrations and trials.
• Take and defend depositions of parties, fact witnesses, and expert witnesses.
• Conduct comprehensive legal research and analysis to develop sound case strategies.
• Communicate with clients, the court, witnesses, opposing counsel, and co-counsel.
• Provide regular and timely updates to clients on case status, strategy, and potential outcomes.
• Work collaboratively with partners, associates, and legal staff.
• Manage cases while adhering to billing and budget requirements.
• Able to travel for court, client meetings, etc.
• Able to work a hybrid schedule from our offices in Bedminster, Long Island or Chicago.

Requirements

• 5-7 or more years of experience in third-party Insurance Coverage law.
• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Must be licensed to practice in any state where Weber Gallagher has an office.
• Strong research, writing, and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Proven track record of success in courtroom appearances, depositions, and settlement negotiations.

Pay

This position offers a salary range of $180,000 – $200,000 and is based on a variety of factors including education, experience, and internal equity.

Schedule

The individual in this role will have the flexibility to work a hybrid schedule from any state where we have an office.
