Sr. Associate, Investment Firm

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and enhance investment-related databases and supporting workflows to improve data quality, consistency, and usability.
  • Review, calculate, and update product, portfolio, and market data such as performance results, asset levels, cash flows, fees, holdings, and other key characteristics.
  • Prepare and distribute recurring reports and data files that provide daily, monthly, and quarterly product information to stakeholders.
  • Validate information presented in reports, marketing materials, web content, annual documents, and external vendor platforms to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Partner with internal teams to support the development of new reporting tools, refined processes, and more effective data deliverables.
  • Analyze large datasets covering investment vehicles such as alternative strategies, mutual funds, and separately managed accounts, identifying trends and resolving discrepancies.
  • Respond to ad hoc requests for product, affiliate, portfolio, and industry information by delivering timely research and data-driven insights.
  • Build working knowledge of internal resources and third-party platforms, including FactSet, Morningstar Direct, Bloomberg, eVestment, and Preqin, to support research and reporting needs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Data Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of relevant or internship experience in investment management, asset management, or a similar financial services environment.
  • Exposure to alternative investments, mutual funds, or separately managed accounts is strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills with the ability to use complex formulas and manage large datasets effectively.
  • Strong analytical abilities with a high level of accuracy when reviewing and maintaining detailed information.
  • Experience working with financial data platforms such as FactSet, Morningstar Direct, or Bloomberg is preferred.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate with cross-functional teams while handling multiple priorities.
  • Familiarity with tools such as PowerPoint, Tableau, and AI-enabled productivity resources is a plus.
