Sr. Associate, Indirect Tax

Responsibilities

• Support sales and use tax compliance by ensuring accurate and timely tax filings and responding to customer tax inquiries.
• Conduct independent research, apply advanced technical and analytical skills, and contribute to process improvements and project objectives.
• Play a key role in supporting compliance efforts while helping optimize tax-related processes and outcomes across the organization.
• Develop and test various analytics models such as Machine Learning, Mathematical Optimization, and advanced analytics approaches to solve business problems.
• Assist with the preparation and filing of sales and use tax returns, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Support audit processes by gathering required documentation and resolving customer-related tax inquiries.
• Maintain records of tax filings and payments, ensuring compliance with local and international tax laws.
• Monitor changes to indirect tax regulations and update the team on relevant developments.
• Support the implementation of policies and procedures designed to strengthen the organization's tax management.

Requirements/Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +10 yrs.; Assoc.+6 yrs.; M.S.+0 yrs.)
• The ability to fluently read, write, understand, and communicate in English
• Two years of Relevant Experience (Preferred)
• CPA or CMI preferred
• Two years or more of sales/use/property tax experience preferred
• SAP and Vertex experience preferred
• Diverse experience including industry knowledge of life sciences, medical device, and pharmaceuticals
