Sr Associate General Counsel

About the role

This role will provide business-aligned guidance focused on governance, compliance, and operational risk management. You will partner with leaders, compliance stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to translate complex issues into practical recommendations. The position offers the opportunity to strengthen responsible execution, improve decision-making, and support sustainable growth within a regulated financial services environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic legal counsel to business leaders and key stakeholders
• Lead and manage vendor and commercial contracting initiatives
• Negotiate complex technology and data privacy agreements
• Drive excellence in contracting through standardized practices
• Support the implementation of the Contract Lifecycle Management platform
• Coach and mentor non-lawyer contract teams
• Manage complex legal issues and contracting operations
• Shape the legal contracting and vendor governance capabilities

Qualifications

• Juris Doctorate Degree from an accredited law school
• Active Bar membership in good standing
• 10+ years of legal experience in law firms, financial institutions, or regulatory agencies
• 5+ years management or leadership experience
• Willingness to travel occasionally

Pay

$229,300 – $280,200 annually
