About the Team

The Dasher & Logistics team supports the millions of Dashers who power DoorDash’s marketplace. We’re building the world’s leading last‑mile logistics platform and, to succeed, we continually disrupt ourselves. The Dasher Financial team is creating fintech products for Dashers and gig workers—instant earnings access, innovative bill‑pay and savings tools, and credit‑building features—to become the financial system of record for Dashers. We are early in this journey, launching and scaling zero‑to‑one products that redefine how Dashers interact with their money.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Associate, Strategy & Operations to launch and scale a new debt‑paydown product for Dashers. Dashers will connect a debt account, choose one to focus on, and automatically route a share of every dash payout into paying it down. After a successful pilot, your job is to turn this into a product that runs at scale—moving real money from Dashers’ accounts to lenders each day, correctly and defensibly. You will need to hold compliance, reconciliation, and the Dasher experience in mind simultaneously.

Responsibilities

  • Own launch readiness end‑to‑end: drive financial compliance review to sign‑off and close out funds‑flow documentation with Treasury and Technical Accounting.
  • Build the operational backbone: daily reconciliation between debits, wires, and amounts that actually reach lenders; create a support playbook for failed, returned, and misapplied payments.
  • Make policy calls with no precedent: set payment caps and floors, routing limits, and handle payments already sent against payouts that later reverse.
  • Own phased rollout and measurement: sequencing, FAQs, support enablement, and instrumentation behind the 12‑week debt‑reduction readout.
  • Analyze and solve unsolved questions in a live money‑movement product—stale balances, late lender postings, reversed payouts—and turn them into decisions with owners.
  • Drive execution of compliance sign‑off, funds flow, and daily reconciliation.
  • Instrument the 12‑week debt‑reduction readout and counter‑metrics to ensure debt is genuinely decreasing.
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Product, Engineering, Design, Analytics, Legal, and Treasury to launch and scale the product.
  • Build the toolkit of a future operator/GM by shipping a regulated fintech product end‑to‑end.

Qualifications

  • 3–5 years of experience succeeding in high‑growth teams (tech, operations, strategy, consulting, banking, or related fields).
  • Exceptional problem‑solving skills; comfortable pulling SQL or modeling in Excel and pressure‑testing metric definitions.
  • Curious, driven, and comfortable with ambiguity—turning open questions into written decisions with named owners.
  • Experience shipping a product with a hard launch date and reasoning about money movement (settlement timing, reconciliation, failed/returned payments) or the ability to learn quickly.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.

Compensation

Base salary range (U.S. national): $87,000 — $128,000 USD. Pay is localized based on work location, market conditions, skills, experience, and qualifications. In addition to base salary, the role includes opportunities for equity grants.

Benefits

  • 401(k) plan with employer matching
  • 16 weeks of paid parental leave
  • Wellness benefits and commuter benefits match
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
  • 11 paid holidays
  • Disability and basic life insurance
  • Family‑forming assistance
  • Mental health program
  • Flexible paid time off/vacation for salaried roles plus 80 hours of paid sick time per year
  • Accrued vacation for hourly roles (≈1 hour per 25.97 hours worked) and accrued sick time (≈1 hour per 30 hours worked)
