Sr. Associate, Claims
About the role
This position supports the Insurance & Alternative Solutions (IAS) department in the management of third-party general liability claims across North America. In addition to claims handling, the Claims Specialist plays a key role in investigating incidents, evaluating liability, managing reserve strategies, and ensuring consistent engagement with portfolio companies, insurers, and claim handlers (including claim handlers, carriers, and panel counsel). The role demands strong judgment, coordination with internal Legal and Risk teams, and the ability to navigate diverse exposures ranging from slip-and-fall events to contractor liability and reputational risks. This position is based out of Revantage’s office in Dallas, TX or Chicago, IL.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- 7–10 years of general liability claim handling experience, with at least 3 years focused on commercial real estate exposures
- Strong knowledge of GL policy terms, additional insureds, indemnity agreements, and legal defense strategies
- High attention to detail, judgment, and ability to manage adversarial and sensitive conversations
- Strong collaboration skills across Legal, Risk, and Operations functions
- Experience with RMIS platforms (e.g., Origami Risk) and Microsoft Office tools
Preferred
- Prior experience working on the carrier or claim handler side, with insight into insurer operations and decision-making
- Experience coordinating with defense counsel, managing litigation budgets, and supporting discovery
- Familiarity with contract risk transfer, indemnity structures, and tenant/vendor insurance obligations
- Exposure to high-severity claims or reputational incidents across diverse property types
Pay
Base Compensation Range: $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 annually. This represents the presently-anticipated low and high end of the Company’s base compensation range for this position. Actual base compensation range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to location and experience.
Total Direct Compensation: This job is also eligible for discretionary bonus and incentive compensation on an annual basis.
