About the role
The Risk Analytics Sr. Associate Actuary will produce, analyze, and communicate quantitative risk metrics to senior leaders, as well as develop and expand current risk analytic capabilities to inform business decisions and enhance financial stability. This role provides insight into all areas of the organization, with the opportunity to influence the future growth strategy of the company.
Responsibilities
- Produce a comprehensive suite of risk analytics on a quarterly and annual basis and gauge alignment of results with company risk appetite.
- Effectively report on results to senior management.
- Collaborate with the Investment, Finance, and Actuarial teams to refine risk modeling methodologies, calculations, and stress calibrations to best inform business decisions and provide insights into potential real-life impacts.
- Review stress testing results against actual market and insurance risk events to improve accuracy of stress testing framework.
- Support the enhancement of risk reporting capabilities at the company and local entity levels across multiple accounting bases, with strong stress and scenario testing across various measures including capital, liquidity, and value.
- Ensure stress testing models are built using robust actuarial and statistical methodologies and are fit for purpose.
- Interact with senior management to facilitate understanding of risk metric results, key sensitivities, and implications for critical business decisions.
- Communicate complex risk modeling concepts and results to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Finance, or other related field.
- Associate of the Society of Actuaries, or similar designation, with 5+ years of experience.
- Good understanding of actuarial principles, risk modeling techniques, financial theory, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with both US and Bermuda insurance regulations is an asset.

Pay
Base Salary: $114,000 - $172,500
