Sr Assoc, Optical Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support development of Optical Engineering tools and procedures for Optical Design, Analysis, Integration, and Test
• Experience with optical design codes (Zemax, Code V, etc.)
• Experience with mathematical analysis codes (Matlab, Mathematica, MathCad, etc.)
• Opto-mechanical experience
• Knowledge of Optical Metrology (Interferometers, image quality metrics, alignment and test techniques)
• Knowledge of areas within Optical Engineering working with both resolved and unresolved objects in EO-LW wave lengths
• May apply quantitative analysis in determining root cause of highly technical problems and propose, develop and implement solutions for corrective action
• Join a team of similar skilled Optics Engineers, receive training, and operate airborne sensors to collect EO/IR data
• Operate sensors from a workstation in a highly modified business-class Gulfstream G550
• Participate in approximately 10 missions annually lasting 1-2 weeks each

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Optical Engineering, physics, or related field and a minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience working with optical systems
• Graduate Degree or equivalent with 0 to 2 years of prior related experience
• Must have or be able to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense security clearance

• Willingness to relocate to the Tulsa, OK area
