We're all about raising the bar every day, and it shows. Our work has been recognized by organizations like Digiday, Google, Inc. 5000, USA Today, and Search Engine Land. About The Role EMRge Custom is a cross-functional Ovative team of Data Science (DS) and Data Engineering (DE) resources that delivers bespoke client work, innovation and platform partnerships, and consultative support for Edge Builders (our self-service builder role). The team exists to help Ovative respond nimbly to client and internal needs that fall outside the scope of standard EMRge product development and client delivery. As Technical Project Manager for EMRge Custom, you will own project management and intake coordination across all four of the team’s work areas — Custom MMM & Analytics, Innovation & Partnership, Team Maintenance, and Edge Builder Support. You are the connective tissue between Go to Market (GTM), DS and DE Tech Directors, Measurement & Technology Service (MTS) leaders, client account teams, and broader organizational stakeholders. You will ensure work moves from intake to delivery on time, on scope, and with the right people informed at every step. You will report to the Sr. Manager of EMRge Client Operations and partner day-to-day with the DS Tech Director, DE Tech Director, and where relevant the GTM team to translate business requirements into executable work. This is an execution-oriented role that requires strong adaptive organizational instincts, clear communication under ambiguity, confidence to manage prioritization decisions, and ability to drive organizational change of new processes across stakeholders. Role Responsibilities Of a Sr. Analyst, Project Management Intake & Prioritization Develop and Own the Intake Process: Build and manage the intake process for EMRge Custom, establishing a clear, structured way for client teams and Edge builders to submit requests, with defined criteria for how work is triaged, scoped, and sequenced across the team's four work areas. Build in partnership with Edge Builder Product Owner. Prioritize Work Across Client Engagements: Maintain a holistic view of all active and incoming contracted work, sequencing priorities across Custom MMM & Analytics, Innovation & Partnership, Team Maintenance, and Edge Builder Support, surfacing tradeoffs and capacity conflicts to leadership proactively. Translate Requests into Executable Work: Partner with DS and DE Tech Directors to convert incoming requests into well-scoped, clearly defined work items, including problem framing, acceptance conditions, and resource requirements, applying agile best practices to break work into discrete, deliverable increments that reduce ambiguity and enable technical resources to move quickly. Timeline & Delivery Management Define and Manage Timelines: Collaborate with stakeholders to establish clear project timelines, ensuring work is reflected accurately across active engagements. Monitor project progress to keep client work on track, proactively managing scope changes with thorough communication to all stakeholders. Own Stakeholder Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders on timeline, status, and deliverables, communicating clearly and consistently across audiences. Manage Capacity and Risk: Maintain real-time visibility across DS and DE workstreams, proactively identifying resourcing constraints, scope risks, and blockers, and surfacing them to the DS and DE Tech Directors and leadership before they impact delivery. Leverage AI to Drive Operational Efficiency: Actively use AI tools to accelerate the operational demands of the role, including synthesizing project status across workstreams, drafting stakeholder communications, maintaining documentation, and surfacing patterns in intake and capacity data that inform prioritization decisions. Change Management & Documentation Lead Change Management: Drive change management efforts for client-related processes, ensuring smooth transitions and clear communication to all affected parties across DS, DE, and stakeholder teams. Own Engagement Documentation: Document engagement scope, outputs, and maintenance requirements at the close of each engagement to support continuity and prevent undocumented technical debt from accumulating. Maintain Team Confluence: Maintain Confluence/JIRA documentation for EMRge Custom, keeping team-level process, operating model, and engagement records current and accessible to the broader organization. Requirements 2-3+ years of experience in project management, program management, or a related coordination role, with at least 1 years working directly alongside technical teams (Data Science, Data Engineering, or similar). Demonstrated experience managing intake, prioritization, and delivery tracking for technical work — including triaging requests, sequencing competing priorities, and maintaining backlog clarity in any project management or work management tool (e.g., Confueunce, Jira, Clickup, or similar). Strong stakeholder management skills, including experience communicating project status, scope, and risk to both technical and non-technical audiences. Demonstrated ability to manage scope boundaries and make prioritization calls independently, without requiring escalation for routine decisions. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain clear, structured documentation across the project lifecycle — including scope definitions, status updates, engagement outputs, and process changes — ensuring information is accessible, accurate, and usable by technical and non-technical audiences alike. Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to synthesize complex technical work into clear, plain-language updates for clients and leadership. Demonstrated experience with or active curiosity toward AI tools, with a mindset toward applying them to improve the quality and efficiency of day-to-day work. Preferred Background in marketing measurement, media analytics, or adjacent fields (e.g., attribution, incrementality testing, or marketing mix modeling). Familiarity with data platforms such as Databricks, BigQuery, or similar environments — not at an implementation level, but sufficient to follow technical conversations and flag risks. Experience managing multiple concurrent workstreams with competing priorities across DS and DE functions. Prior experience in a consulting or client services environment where stakeholder relationship management is central to the role. Comfort working in Kanban or iterative delivery environments where methodology, tooling, and process are simultaneously evolving. Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, JSM, Confluence) preferred, but not required.
