Sr. Project Management Analyst
Requirements
The ideal candidate will be highly organized, analytical, and detail-oriented, with experience supporting complex public-sector technology implementations. This individual will work closely with program leadership, project managers, vendors, and stakeholder groups to ensure project information is accurate, actionable, and effectively communicated across all levels of the organization.
- Collaborate with project managers on various initiatives and projects to track progress and provide support as necessary.
- Support leadership in ensuring that the project is delivered to specifications, is on time, and within budget.
- Work closely with management and work groups to create and maintain work plan documents.
- Track the status and due dates of projects.
- Manage relationships with project staff responsible for projects.
- Produce regular weekly and monthly status reports that could include; work plan status, target dates, budget, resource capacity, and other reports as needed.
- Facilitate regular meetings and reviews.
- Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Support PMO operations, governance processes, standards, and reporting activities.
- Cook up governance reviews, working sessions, and executive steering committee meetings.
- Support adherence to program management methodologies, standards, and reporting requirements.
- Maintain program decision logs and governance records.
- Support the development and maintenance of the master project schedule.
- Track project milestones, dependencies, deadlines, and key deliverables.
- Monitor schedule status and identify potential delays or schedule risks.
- Cook up schedule updates across multiple project workstreams.
- Prepare schedule summaries and milestone reporting for leadership review.
- Maintain program deliverable inventories and submission calendars.
- Track deliverable development, review, approval, and acceptance activities.
- Cook up document reviews among project teams and stakeholders.
- Maintain compliance with contractual and program deliverable requirements.
- Maintain RAID (Risks, Action Items, Issues, and Decisions) logs.
- Track mitigation plans, action items, issue resolution activities, and decision outcomes.
- Escalate overdue risks, issues, and actions to program leadership as appropriate.
- Cook up recurring project meetings and facilitate as needed.
- Develop agendas, presentation materials, and supporting documents.
- Capture meeting notes, action items, decisions, and follow-up activities and monitor their completion.
- Collect project status information from multiple teams for monthly status reporting.
- Sustain project communication efforts.
- Track project resource tracking records.
- Track program performance metrics and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Sustain the team in completing assigned responsibilities as outlined in the project schedule.
- Adhere to contract requirements and comply with all corporate policies and procedures.
- Complete project work in compliance with Maximus standards and procedures.
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- 7-10 years of relevant professional experience required.
- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
- Available to work during standard client business hours.
- Projects may involve clients from any US time zone, so work outside of the individual’s local business hours may be required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience supporting PMOs, program management offices, or large-scale project initiatives.
- Experience supporting large, enterprise technology implementations or system modernization projects.
- Experience developing executive reports, dashboards, and presentations.
- Experience maintaining RAID/Project Control logs, action item trackers, and project documentation.
- Experience with managing meetings and deliverables.
- Project scheduling experience is preferred.
- Strong verbal, written, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft programs, such as SharePoint, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project and Teams.
- Child Support project experience is a plus.
- Experience working on state government projects is a plus.
Pay
Annual salary is just one component of Maximus's total compensation package. Other rewards may include short- and long-term incentives as well as program-specific awards. Compensation ranges may differ based on contract value but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
